Billie is a queer nonbinary artist living in Atlanta, GA. Their art often focuses on a current state of mind.
“I like to paint without purpose, and to doodle on random scraps of paper when the need hits. My art usually focuses on a current state of mind, or it can be an escape from a current state of mind!”
“I like to take a bunch of old thoughts and create them into a new, single thought. I like connecting old feelings to new and making them into something that is timeless and relatable.”
Billie’s collage style comes from their interest in old books and magazines from thrift stores along the subjects of botany, poetry and interesting illustrations. They also use personal experiences and influences as well as what they think will stand out to the viewer, so they can make it open to interpretation.
